Violin
My Great Grandfather on my mothers side made this violin. My mom recently pulled it out of storage so it needs some fixing up and repairs. I had no idea it even existed until a few weeks ago! I'm extremely excited about this, I've always wished I played the violin and also for some reason I feel like it gives me free reign to do many more drawings involving violins. It's in my blood!
The amazing thing though is we discovered that the tag inside says he made it on October 28th, 1928 which is my birthday! (54 years later)

ReplyDeleteWow, amazing! And so cool that it says October 28, 1928 and that you're born on October 28, 1982.
ReplyDeleteHow splendid! Oh, and the matching birthday date, that's just pure magic!! My great great grandfather made fiddles, but I'm not so lucky to have one, just the stories that my Dad tells me about it, and how he played the spoons and made wooden dancing men which he made dance while he played! I would so love to be able to see one in person! :) What a blessing, indeed!
ReplyDelete♥ Happy Autumn to You Julianna!

ReplyDeleteSometimes things are just meant to be. The Violin was destined to be yours from the beginning.
