It's here! My new 2014 calendar design is now available to buy in my store!
I had them professionally printed this year on heavy card stock and they are quite large, 12x17 inches, sort of medium poster sized. I think they'll look nice pinned to the wall or framed even.

So, incase you were wondering, the design was slightly inspired by Totoro, especially the opening credits. I'm really pleased with how it turned out! It just makes me so happy whenever I look at it, and I think it's a good representation of the new direction I feel like my work is going in.
Hopefully it will make you as happy as it makes me! Please let me know what you think!
i love everything about the design, but very especially the fact that the week starts on a monday. the little bugs are a great touch and i can see the totoro inspiration. the unevenness of the columns bothers me a little but that's just me being highly neurotic about such things. i feel like all the months should be a bit askew then. other than that i am smitten.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your honest feedback:) The uneven columns bothered me a bit, but there isn't much I can do about it because of the layout. It was a deliberate decision based on the artwork, and hopefully that comes across!
DeleteThe opening credits are my favorite part of Totoro! You can bet I'll be snatching this one up :)
ReplyDeleteMine too!
