The Three Friends of Winter
Recently I read something about The Three Friends of winter, which are bamboo, plum, and pine. They are plants that aren't effected by cold, and so they represent steadfastness, perseverance, and resilience. Those all seem like good things to have in winter, and also at the start of a new year when one is hopefully going to embark on new things!
I'm currently rusticating at my parent's place in Michigan. I'm actually going to be out here for an extended time, into the middle of January. I wanted to get away from my usual work environment in order to think though some new projects, sketch, and brainstorm.
Anyway, I hope you are all safe and well and warm if you're in a Northern place!
