Busy Bee

Goodness it's been a long time since my last post! The reason is that right before Thanksgiving I realized I had less than a month to finish a lot of work before leaving town to spend Christmas with my family. I've been pretty much chained to my desk since then, besides attending a very overwhelming Thanksgiving potluck. But it's boring to talk about being busy, and of course I can't show you anything I'm working on yet since it's mostly work for other people, but here is what I can tell you about:

The Portland Bazaar is happening again this year and I will be there selling my prints, cards, etc.  I spent several days assembling postcard sets, and I'm working on getting a good number of prints finished. I feel mostly prepared....assembling-postcards

Since several people have asked for these two I'll have a few new prints at the Bazzar, but I've put them in my shop as well in case you can't make it to the sale. new-prints

Non work related, my friend went to Hawaii and brought me back this delicious tea. And actually that is kind of work related because tea keeps me going! tea-and-cookies

I learned the trick to eating persimmons! They have to be very very ripe or they are inedible. However since they take a long time to ripen the trick is to put them in the freezer overnight, then when you take them out and let them thaw they are magically ready to eat! persimmon

It's been raining like crazy and very dark the past few weeks. I actually enjoy the short dark days, it feels right for this time of year. Busy and crazy as I've been feeling I've been making lots of soup and even put up some xmas lights, and trying to feel as cozy as possible.

What are you doing to feel cozy this time of year? I hope you're feeling well and warm wherever you are!

  3. That tea looks quite delicious, and your prints are just lovely. I always feel very calm after reading your posts. I'm staying cozy by drinking lots of tea and coffee, and curling up beneath blankets with a book x

  7. It stayed like that for about an hour, I thought it was so pretty:) Some people think they taste like caramel, I wouldn't exactly say that, but they are very sweet.
