Bramble Thicket
I don't think I posted the scans of these images from a show a few months ago. They are quite large, I had to scan each in six parts which was a pain! They are available in my shop together as a diptych. A blackberry bramble flourishing out of control seem a fitting subject to post today in time for Midsummer. Right in the evergreen hedge I can see from my window there is a blackberry that is absolutely going crazy and taking it over.
Just a couple interesting things from this week:
♥ This person makes the most amazing rubber stamps!
♥ I cannot wait to make this golden beet and blue cheese risotto!
♥ I've been listening to the second (adio)book in the Gormenghast trilogy while I work. Has anyone else read this series? It's very dense and a bit hard to get into but it's so rich and interesting it's well worth it if you have the patience for it!
Oh, also should you be interested in reading a little interview with me there is one in this new online magazine.

I read Gormenghast a few years ago. I liked books 1 and 2 the best. Book 3 was hard for me to get through. However, I am in love with the idea of a city that is one enormous castle.
