Favorite Podcasts Pt. 2!

favorite-podcasts
A few months ago I posted about some of my favorite podcasts to listen to while I'm working (or running), but I've added a few more into regular rotation so I thought I'd do a Part 2!

SPILLED MILK: I love this podcast so much. It regularly makes me laugh so hard that I mess up whatever I'm working on! Matthew Amster-Burton and Molly Wizenberg eat food and talk about it, each episode focuses on a particular food, which can be anything from bitter greens or sour candy. I recommend starting with "Honey" or "Hard Tacos", and then go ahead and listen to them all, they're all good.

MOYERS & COMPANY: Great, in depth political discussions. Bill Moyers asks great questions and doesn't tip toe around hard topics. Some shows can leave you feeling kind of bleak though!

MARKETPLACE MONEY: Personal finance, boring right? Actually no! This show manages to be pretty interesting, or at least inspirational.

AMERICAS TEST KITCHEN: Food related podcasts are always fun, this one has good interviews with food culture and food science people. I'm personally not that interested in their recipes most of the time because I've never been concerned with food turning out perfect, so sometimes this show can seem overly ernest, but I like it none the less.

Anyway, if you don't already listen to these maybe you'll find something to interest you! And of course if any of you have also started to listen to some new podcasts I'd love an update!

  1. I caught yesterdays Science Friday program that reviewed the best science books of 2013 and other favorites. It was so interesting & I wanted to read some of these but couldn't write them down since I was driving at the time. So I was very glad to be able to listen to it again as a podcast. Plus they mentioned that the website has the written version. Yay NPR!
